How long do we plan to enhance and support Adager?
We plan to continue enhancing Adager (and providing Adager support for TurboIMAGE databases) well beyond HP's end-of-support date for MPE/iX.
We are constantly adding Adager features (and functionality) requested by our users (and by our development and support staff). The idea is to continue making Adager easier for you to use (and to improve the performance of your TurboIMAGE database applications).
Any user under Adager maintenance gets prompt and effective support from us. We do not have plans to change our support policy and, after careful cost-benefit studies, several large Adager customers have taken advantage of our multi-year maintenance contracts.
Does Adager support the Charon HPA/3000 emulator from Stromasys?Yes.
Please see this article from The 3000 NewsWire.
Does Adager have the source code of MPE/iX and TurboIMAGE?Yes.
In February 2010, HP chose (from a highly qualified group of selected applicants) eight Worldwide Licensees for the source code of MPE/iX and TurboIMAGE/XL.
Our technical team was proud to see Adager Corporation at the top of HP's list of Source-Code Licensees.
What versions of MPE-Image does Adager support? We plan to continue support for all of these HP releases (and for their future enhancements from HP).
- PA-RISC machines: From MPE XL 2.0 to MPE/iX 7.5
- CISC machines: MPE V
- Databases: From IMAGE/3000 to TurboIMAGE and IMAGE/SQL C.10.xx
What migration policy or recommendations do we have?We do not have any "recommended migration policy".
Adager customers range in size from those who have small hp3000 computers for 8 users, all the way to intercontinental corporations with enterprise-level hp3000 multiprocessor N-Class systems with fibre-channel XP disc arrays that serve thousands of concurrent users (with sub-second response times for their business-critical transactions).
A great majority of Adager customers consistently indicate that they want to maintain their highly productive MPE/iX and TurboIMAGE systems. We are here to help.
